Bio sketch

Dr Wentzel is a general nurse with midwifery with additional qualifications in Community Nursing, Nurse Education, Intensive Care Nursing, Oncology & Palliative Nursing and she holds a Dispensing license. She is currently employed by the School of Nursing in a full-time post as a Senior Lecturer. Together with facilitating third year general nursing BN students, she is currently supervising research MN and PhD students. She graduated with MPH and PhD. Her specialization is in Oncology & Palliative Nursing. Her research focus is the effects of compassion fatigue, burnout and compassion satisfaction on health care workers.
